Tedra Begay is a Diné (Navajo) artist from Seba Dalkai, Arizona. She is of the Tsi’naajinii (Black-Streak of the Forest People), born for the Todich’ii’nii (Bitterwater People), Kiniyaa’aani (Towering House People) are her maternal, and Ta’neezahnii (Tangle People) are her paternal.
Tedra makes photos and mixed media artworks. She is know for her photoweavings, using her weaving skills taught by her grandmother. She started weaving her photography to bring both art forms together. Her photos are notable for their unique finish and tactile nature. Tedra Begay currently lives and works in New Mexico.
