I have been practicing the art of pottery making since 1995, when the art form was introduced to me by my grandmother on the Pueblo of Isleta in New Mexico. I classify my work as contemporary hand-built, hand-coiled and hand-painted decorative pottery that has a strong lineage to my Native American heritage and culture. Hand coiling technique is an antiquated form of pottery making that is practiced by Southwestern people and many different cultures around the world.
