George is a Southern Cheyenne artist who is also of Southern Arapaho and Oglala Lakota ancestry. He is influenced by his tribes’ artists of past generations. His stunning “Ledger Art” has its roots in the 1870s when the only paper artists could find was old, previously used business forms and ledgers. His works, which have been featured in major collections and museums around the world, are in watercolor and acrylic and are still painted on business ledger paper.
