Taos Pueblo, New Mexico

My ancestry is Taos Pueblo and I have the privilege to photograph this beautiful place which I call home. Since I live on tribal land, I can show the nuances of my home through the lens of my camera. I have photographed in both color and black and white since the late ’80s, but have only recently started selling my work at my gallery in Taos Pueblo and at prestigious juried shows from the Smithsonian to the Santa Fe Indian Market.

I try to show the distinctive architecture of the pueblo in various light and season without the use of filters or the influence of technology. I have been told that the initial reaction to my photography is spiritual or something very personal. It is my hope that my photos will entice someone to come to the pueblo or elicit memories of a special visit.
