Dan Vallo

Acoma Pueblo

Knives

Dan Vallo spent is younger years on the reservation in Acomita where he watched his grandmother make pottery and his uncle Clyde as a silversmith. Mostly known for his Flint knapping creations, he began in the late 1980s, and was inspired by the many arrowheads he found while out exploring and hunting. The handles of his pieces are all different, just by the nature of the materials: antler, hardwood, leather, cholla cactus, etc.
