In recognizing those who serve and have served to protect our country’s freedoms, Sharlot Hall Museum will offer free admission to ALL active duty military, retired and veterans on Wednesday, November 11, in celebrating Veterans Day.
More than 100 years ago at the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month,” cessation of bloody hostilities ended “The Great War” – the war to end all wars. That date became Armistice Day. Later it was designated Veterans Day, to honor all our country’s service men and women.
The Museum, which serves as a centerpiece in preserving our local history, continues in its patriotic commitment to those who serve, who stood a post, and did their duty.
The Sharlot Hall Museum welcomes all veterans and active duty military men and women, and waives its reduced military admission fee for the day, November 11.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Museum located at 415 West Gurley Street in downtown Prescott, two blocks west of the Courthouse Plaza. For more information, call 928-445-3122 ext. 0.
