Folk Arts Fair
June 6 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Discover the crafts of yesteryear… to find your creative passion. This “learn-by-trying” interactive event is the revamped Folk Arts Fair to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Sharlot Hall Museum.
Now in its 47th consecutive year the Folk Arts Fair takes over the four-acre Sharlot Hall Museum campus and transforms it into various learning opportunities, workshops, demonstrations and hands-on experiences for folks of all ages.
There will be old-fashioned presentations of quilting, weaving, leather-working, furniture building, tatting, basket weaving, to name only a few… but more! Visitors will be able to engage in many of these activities as approachable craftspeople share the easy-to-learn skills of the past that have become the today’s creative endeavors — from carving to woodworking, blacksmithing to metal sculpture, weaving to basketmaking, pine needle art and dreamcatchers, and so much more.
Bring the family and experience the revitalized fun and crafts of an earlier time in Arizona’s history. Located at 415 West Gurley Street in Prescott (just two blocks west of the courthouse), Sharlot Hall Museum is a cultural and educational center that fosters an appreciation of the social, historical and natural aspects of Arizona’s Central Highlands.
